Formed in 2008 in York, North Yorkshire, England, Asking Alexandria is an English metal core band consisting of Ben Bruce (guitar), James Cassels (drummer), Cameron Liddell (rhythm guitar), Sam Bettley (bass), and Denis Stoff (vocals), and is currently signed to Sumerian Records. They have cultivated a very large group of loyal fans and followers including over 5 million likes on their Facebook page, over 980 thousand followers on Their Twitter feed, and their music videos have pulled in multiple millions of views online, including the official music video for the song “Not The American Average”, which has racked up over 30 million views individually on YouTube. The band has cycled through a number of members and had many different lineups and has released 3 full length studio albums, with a fourth that is set to be released in 2016.They have seen very much success in the metal world, and in 2012 they were nominated for the Independent Music Award for Best Metal/ Hardcore album for their record “Reckless & Relentless”. The record made a big splash in the industry as it reached #2 on the US Hard Rock Albums chart, #4 on the US Rock Albums chart, #9 on the US Billboard 200 chart, #30 on the Australian Albums chart, and #98 on the UK Albums Chart, as it made noise in the industry in multiple countries. They have toured and performed at some very famous and popular venues all across the planet as they bring their hard hitting style to their fans all over the world. Their massive following is continuing to grow at a very rapid rate, as they continue to be a force to be reckoned with within the metal and hardcore communities, and their listeners anxiously wait for the release of their next album in 2016.
