Ashley Monroe Talent Bio:
Born on September 10th 1986 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Ashley Lauren Monroe is an American singer-songwriter and country music artist that is currently signed to Warner Brothers Nashville. She has released 3 full-length studio albums as a solo artist, and has released two albums as part of the American country music trio Pistol Annies, which is composed of Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley, and herself. She has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 165 thousand page like on Facebook, over 66 thousand followers on Instagram, and some of her solo YouTube videos have cracked the 300 thousand view mark, while the Pistol Annies videos have individually racked up millions, including the single “Hell on Heels” which has been viewed over 13 million times. She is married to John Danks, a starting pitcher for Major League Baseball’s Chicago White Sox.Monroe grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and at the age of 11 she won a talent competition for singing the song “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart”. After her father passed away when she was 13, she and her mother moved to Nashville to pursue her career in the country music industry. She earned herself a publishing deal as a songwriter, and soon after signed a record deal with Sony Records in 2006. After her and the label did not see eye to eye, her and Sony parted ways. She had a short stint under Columbia Records but had similar issues before signing with Warner Brothers Nashville in 2013, under which she has released her 2nd and 3rd studio albums. Her 3rd album entitled “The Blade” was released in 2015, and as her popularity and fan base are continuing to grow larger, she is rapidly becoming an artist to watch out for in the country music industry.
