Alx James Talent Bio:
Alx James is considered to be Vines Video Phenomenon, having over 6 million followers on Twitter’s six-second video making app. In the 7th Shorty Awards he has 197 nominations in Vineographer, 20 nominations in Comedian, 2 nominations in Waterbugs, 2 nominations in Maker, and 1 nomination for the Shorty Award. He has turned his massive fan base into a TV deal with producer Collins Avenue. He has also appeared on American Idol on two different occasions but had to quit due to him becoming very ill. James has the 5th most followers on Vine. He is best known for his famous term “water bugs” used to describe people who wear oversized glasses. James plans on bringing his unique Vine personality to the TV screen with his own reality show with the help of Collins Avenue who is know for producing TV series like Dance moms.Before his Vine stardom, James was born in North Carolina and raised on a farm in a small town called Black Creek. Alx used to play for the Junior Olynpic Volleyball team and competed with them for about a year and a half. He was offered a scholarship to play Volleyball in college but he had other plans. With a deep passion for singing, dancing and comedy, he decided to pursue his entertainment career. James describes his Vine videos as real. He said he wanted his Vine to be about what people say, do, and go through every day by putting a comedic twist to it.
Alx then created his word “water bug” that just blew up and was hash tagged all over Vine. It originated from a joke him and his coworker had including a cockroach and big glasses. He said “People call their shades hater blockers and haters are like water bugs to him”. James doesn’t plan on taking it to the big screen he says his heart stays with the internet because that is where he started and that is where everything is moving towards.
